When I was younger I wanted to grow up and have a house with stairs like this. Good too see someone else is on the same page. I never though I’d actually see them in existance. And maybe a handrail that hangs from the ceiling. Some days I think I should have followed whats embedded in my genes and go the architect route. Thanks Ffffound.

I stumbled upon Mark Weaver’s site today…you might want to stumble over there yourself. Some really cool work. I think its the simple shapes, classic objects and colors that draw me in. I’m a fool for simple geometry and lines…

First and foremost, if the word ‘wakeskating’ sparks your interest in the slightest bit, get on over to the Nike Aquafrolics site and check out their new wakeskate video! It will blow your mind, whether you wakeskate or not. Nike is doing some amazing things in this industry. Not only did they come out with an epic movie that pushes limits in riding, but it’s also avaliable for free download and they threw the best prom I’ve ever been too…

Nike knows how to host a good times. They’ve proved it before and they continue to prove it over and over again. That Saturday night we whipped out our 80s prom attire, scrunchies, and hair crimpers for a night on the town. We got some great looks to and from the theater. Nike made some sweeeeet special edition shoes for special folks, tuxedo shirts & coozies. I had a blue tuxedo shirt just like theirs when I was 5, pretty sure it was my brothers, but theres a photo of me somewhere wearing it next to the christmas tree. I was on a mission all night to get one, and *score* I did.

I was flipping through pages of my sketchbook and I found this little gem from a few months back…

The new & improved Annalemma.net is live! I’ve been working on this site for a while now over at FCTN and I’m excited to see it up. My buddy Brandon McLean just did an art installation in the window of the Urban Outfitters in Ybor City, Congrats B! That’s huge! Can’t wait to see this in person…

Months ago I mentioned The Preemptive Love Coalition, and how I had friends going to Iraq to make a documentary. Their journey has begun. You can follow Micheal Dalton and Matt Addington through their website, To Open Your Eyes, and through their personal sites. They are traveling all over Iraq documenting the stories of young Iraqi children from impovershed families that need heart surgeries. They are working with The Preemtive Love Coalition, who funds these heart surgies through donations and a program called Buy Shoes, Save Lives. The photos so far are amazing and very moving…I can’t wait to see the documentary. You can check out some short teasers and more photos at To Open Your Eyes and find out more about their journey.

I just returned from Nor Cal Convergence, the 8th of its type and my first experience…which could be the greatest wakeskate gathering known to man. I thought Raging Pull was epic. NCC8 was Raging Pull x4. Just imagine the possibilities when wakeskaters come together from all over Northern California and beyond to ride all weekend with tons of kids that chare the same passion. I believe there were 4 Super Air Nautiques, 5 winches, and 3 jetskis. An up rail, an up-flat, and a bank box…sounds like a wakeskaters heaven doesn’t it? I met a ton of cool kids, kicked it with my Integrity familia, and shreded my face off. I can’t wait for the next one! Look out for NCC9 this fall, more info at Nor Cal Wake. These sort of gatherings are so essential to the progression and growth of the sport!

More event coverage to come soon! There were serveral camera’s on site so there should be some good stuff floating around here soon. Local NorCal shop, The Liquid Playground was there and scored the 2nd JennyDanger to ever be pressed which sold yesterday!

Matt Addington came out on the boat today! You can almost hear my excitement in the explanation marks! I have seen a handful of professional photography portfolios, Matt’s work still blows my mind. I’m finding lots of great things on the inter-web while I listen to classical music that might go well with moving pictures of football. The combo seems strange to me but I guess it works. I’m in LA for two weeks for work but my computer is working harder than I am. I found this guy Thomas today on Doodler’s Anonymous…he is going to draw a tattoo a day on his arm with sharpie, lyrics or a phrase to focus on throughout the day. Lovely idea (minus all the ink sinking into your skin), and everyday he puts a picture of it on Flickr.

Kyle Patrick Smith. I wish I could draw like Kyle and Jason, figures instead of simple lines and shapes. I think maybe I could if I just let myself…let the pen free, take the chains off my brain. Don’t be afraid, trust the mess. These are all things I need to learn. If you know anyone else who draws pen and ink like this, please share! I’m looking for more inspiration. Aside from great drawings in his sketchbook, Kyle has a pretty rocking portfolio. I’m pretty sure he’s a Full Sail grad too. Nice work Kyle!
