Chase‘s Washed Out video made Pitchfork‘s list of top music videos of 2009! Congrats Chase, and Fiction.
Also…Charles (Fiction‘s Creative Director) whipped up some sweet show visuals for the Viernes show last weekend. I missed it to due the Crash-O-Rama, but I heard it was great! Luckily we can still see pieces of the show visuals on vimeo:
Long story short: Chase got a camera housing for his Mark II. Chase and friends go to the Bahamas. Chase takes pretty pictures. Chase gets home and makes a video out out of it to the jam, “Feel It All Around” by Washed Out. Chase sends it to the dude from Washed Out, dude likes it and *bam, it becomes the unofficial video for the song, and *bam, it’s up on Rolling Stones. Nice work Chase…next time take me with you. Hah, jk (kind of, but not really). Fiction, for the win!
My co-worker Charles Bergquist at FCTN just finished up this music video for “Liquid Tunnel” by Viernes. It’s also his first entry in to the San Diego Film Festival. Check it out…
UPDATE: Charles also just finished up this poster for their upcoming microtour. See you there! You can also check it out at FCTN.
Radiohead. Enough said. Seriously, just when you think things couldn’t get any cooler they release the House Of Cards video. And then, on top of the video being like nothing you have ever seen before because it was shot with laser beams and scanners instead of cameras, they release a version where you can zoom in, rotate, and switch scenes while Thom is singing. Insane. Insanity. Thanks to FFF for the linkage.
Everywhere I go this song is playing. Literally, everywhere. The grocery store, the cable, then I get in the car and its on the radio, a restaurant, status…it’s crazy. And what is it trying to tell me? “I don’t want to be your friend, I just want to be your lover” ? But we’re not even friends yet…
To everyone that says Orlando has no culture, no art, and no good music scene: You aren’t looking hard enough. In fact, you probably aren’t looking at all.
But sometimes you don’t have to look. Sometimes these things find you. Meg, Hettler, and I randomly ended up making a last second decision to go to Baron Von Bear’s CD release show last Saturday, based off a recommendation from the ‘Duthie’ character sitting next to us at the Radiohead show. It was sold out, but magically we ended up inside (a special thanks goes out for that one)…and the show was indeed amazing. Thanks Duthie.
If you ever have the opportunity to see these guys live, DO IT. They put on a great show!

The new Radiohead album, “In Rainbows,” is pretty much amazing, I can’t stop listening to it. And how much is it? $_.__ It’s up to you. Don’t be a coward. I filled in the blanks, and I defiantly got my moneys worth! “Moneys” what a strange word to pluralize…not that “pluralize” isn’t any stranger.
