I got a lot of hits on my video from this polish wake site a while back, so I clicked to check it out…

And this is the awesome translation I got from Google:

Haha. Poland!

I just wrote an article about the ‘trick board’ hanging on the wall at the Conway House on Alliance Wakeskate…check it out here.

Ally from TID had her HD GoPro Hero shipped to the Conway house while she was in town and it showed up at the door a few days after she left for Canada, so she left us in charge to test it out for her…

It’s awesome! I am half tempted to just buy it off her and get a new one sent her way. We’ve only taken it out for two test runs, one overcast set and Danny took it for a few laps on the dirtbike track. This sucker is actually going to help dial in kickflips. It’s cool to see frame by frame from your angle, and where things might be going wrong. As soon as the sun comes back out in Orlando Keaton and I are jimmy-rigging it to a boom and shredding doubles. Woooo! Thanks Ally!
2009 is gone already?! Where does time go? I want to find that place and soak up all the minutes and hours that slipped by too fast…

I’m sure the list could go on & on. Pretty crazy I know so many great people that passed away in 2009. However, for every person I know that passed, I also know of a baby that was born…pretty impressive how the world goes round. It was a great year, and 2010 has even more to offer, most of which will be a surprise. Fiction’s headquarters is almost done being built and we will be moving in February! We’ve got our hands full with a new project, and got into lots of music goodness last year. I’m hope to keep pushing the women’s side of wakeskating in the right direction. Here’s to 2010!

Girls Ride Day was a success! This is the first event I’ve put together and I hope to do several more. This kind of grill & chill & wakeskate fun environment is so key for the progression of the sport. Fuel the progression, give it a place to live and breathe. Be the catalyst. Check out the video P.Wie made on Alliance of Girl Ride Day. There’s also photos and a write-up on The Projects site and Throw It Down. Thanks to all the girls that came out!
Big thanks to The Projects, Nike 6.0, Pro-Tec, Skull Candy, Integrity, and Rockstar for making this event happen!
I’ve been anxious to snap this photo, finally had a chance. Meet Grandma Cleone from my board graphic…
…still beautfiul. Integrity.
I just got back from one of the most beautiful places in the world…
Cassie and I went swimming right after I took this photo, no neoprene…brr. I only got to stay for a hot minute. I flew in and out of Reno for Nor Cal Convergence so I could say hi to my family and friends along with get some Tahoe time! Cass joined as my P.I.C. (partner in crime). She’s never been to Tahoe, so we took her straight to Tahoe Tessie’s favorite fish for a swim. I screamed. That’s a scary fish to swim over…
Convergence was EPIC, I’m already counting down for #10. Lot’s of good riding, drinking, and bonfire coal juggling goodness. I forgot to throw out the disclaimer that I’m not actually good at juggling. I got this handy-dandy super neat iPhone app that makes photos look all awesome Holga/Polariod style. I don’t even want to use my regular point and shoot anymore. This is the best iPhone photo I have ever taken:
More photo action from Tahoe/NCC coming soon…!
Check out more footage and photos from Worlds at WakeGirls.com! Thanks to all the girls for coming out and riding! Next year is going to be a good one…
First and foremost, if the word ‘wakeskating’ sparks your interest in the slightest bit, get on over to the Nike Aquafrolics site and check out their new wakeskate video! It will blow your mind, whether you wakeskate or not. Nike is doing some amazing things in this industry. Not only did they come out with an epic movie that pushes limits in riding, but it’s also avaliable for free download and they threw the best prom I’ve ever been too…

Nike knows how to host a good times. They’ve proved it before and they continue to prove it over and over again. That Saturday night we whipped out our 80s prom attire, scrunchies, and hair crimpers for a night on the town. We got some great looks to and from the theater. You can check out more awesome photos on the Nike Aquafrolics site, and in Letchy’s Darkroom! They are worth the peek. Nike made some sweeeeet special edition shoes for special folks, tuxedo shirts & coozies. I had a blue tuxedo shirt just like theirs when I was 5, pretty sure it was my brothers, but theres a photo of me somewhere wearing it next to the christmas tree. I was on a mission all night to get one, and *score* I did.
I whipped this little edit together last night, enjoy…
I’ve been waiting for this. The old school footage is insane. I’m pretty much at a loss of words…hope to see you there.
I woke up at 6:30am today, that’s about the 5th time in the last week and a half. The morning started off with some new tricks off the box at OWC thanks to the lipsticks! We’ve got a pretty solid crew going right now. Chase & FCTN let me borrow the HVX, so we are taking full advantage. Here’s a little bit of proof thanks to English, check more photos at his newly launched blog…
We’ve been shooting ski, winching, riding 2.0, and hitting up OWC. It’s been pretty epic. I’ve hardly had a chance to go through all this footage, but hopefully I can throw something together in the next few days. Keaton threw together a quick line, just a teaser…
I’ve got a brand spanking new, pressed with love Integrity skate sitting in a box by my front door. Kee just sent me a nice little photo of the box and some scissors and threatened to open it…can’t wait to get home and ride that beast!
…Shred! Keaton and Nick’s Built to Shred is now online, thanks Fuel TV. Check it out:
I picked up some new kicks somewhere between Beta and Covert yesterday. I originally bought them to wakeskate in, but when I got home I realized the soles are leather…so that might not work out as well as planned. Should I do it anyways? I miss wakeskating in slip-ons, they swim so good.
PS – We’ve been waking up at 6:30am and filming. Some new goodness in 60fps coming soon.
My buddy (and might as well be brother) Keaton is officially in Florida, and Kee and Beans having been kicking it at the Conway house until they find a place nearby. Kee and Beans are the first official men of the house. Congrats boys.
Keaton + Beans + 2 jetskis + winch + Conway Punks = Full time shredding. I’ve been riding 2-3 times a day, and working. BAM. And I’m loving it. What happens when a full time skilled shredding buddy moves in? You start learning new tricks. And BAM, two kickflips landed on the System 2.0 at The Projects. Finally after a year in the making hah, sure does help to be trying them consistently. Can’t wait to get a big clean one behind the ski. Here’s a photo from trying them over a year ago…
We’ve been filming quite a bit too, so I’m about to start editing some more. I hope you’re ready. In other news, If someone would buy the Ski Cuda already, I could officially have myself a jetski. Please & thank you. I’m not very good at this selling stuff. Some guy gave me a deposit, made me wait 3 weeks and bailed. Fail.
Hasta Luego.
Danny just got a session over on Wakeboarding Mag. He’s been killing it. Check it out here. Yea Danny! OTA!
This is how to not ollie onto a rail…and then how to not ollie onto a rail again:
I’m not exactly sure how I was olling onto an 8″ uprail at NCC, and then got worked on this teeny tiny ollie-on. It’s almost so small it messes with your head. I’m very visual, so after watching some rails get clipped then talking about it, I’d say it was pretty stuck in my head. At least I still have all of my teeth! I deserved it I know better than that. Watch for the full on face smash to rail in the 2nd crash. Results below. :)
Sometimes you just can’t win. I’ve been on a bad streak here. Bad things happen in 3’s.
1. bee sting in eye
2. goose-egg
3. ?
All week I’ve been wondering what #3 would be. I found it yesterday morning. I slid a rail on my body instead of my board, then went back and hit it on my face. Footage coming soon. In the meantime check out my Fu Manchu blood stache and the rest of the after effects…I’m taking two weeks off.
This is what happens when the board hits you in the forehead…
Gross. Last week was kind of interesting. Tuesday I was wakeskating behind the jetski and right as I got up a bee flew into my eye, my open eye. We both freaked out and the bee proceeded to sting my eyelid, at 22mph. Seriously? I’m still not even sure what the odds of something like that happening are. Luckily the swelling wasn’t too bad.
Friday morning we go out on the ski cuda, and first fall the board hits me in the forehead. Immediatly I begin to grow a third eyeball, or a goose-egg or whatever you want to call it. Cassie covers up the mirror and they won’t let me look at it as it grows bigger and bigger. The bump only lasted one day but it still hurts. I’m on a roll, watch out.

I just returned from Nor Cal Convergence, the 8th of its type and my first experience…which could be the greatest wakeskate gathering known to man. I thought Raging Pull was epic. NCC8 was Raging Pull x4. Just imagine the possibilities when wakeskaters come together from all over Northern California and beyond to ride all weekend with tons of kids that chare the same passion. I believe there were 4 Super Air Nautiques, 5 winches, and 3 jetskis. An up rail, an up-flat, and a bank box…sounds like a wakeskaters heaven doesn’t it? I met a ton of cool kids, kicked it with my Integrity familia, and shreded my face off. I can’t wait for the next one! Look out for NCC9 this fall, more info at Nor Cal Wake. These sort of gatherings are so essential to the progression and growth of the sport!
More event coverage to come soon! There were serveral camera’s on site so there should be some good stuff floating around here soon. Local NorCal shop, The Liquid Playground was there and scored the 2nd JennyDanger to ever be pressed which sold yesterday!
Have I mentioned how much I love my Integrity family? veritas • cæremonia • familia
I want to thank all of the girls that signed up for Pro Women’s Wakeskate last weekend at WakeGames: Jen Hettler, Cassandra Scott, Brittany Fletcher, and Lacey Menkin. I tried to recruit 10 girls, it would have been record breaking but 5 is better than none! Let’s keep this up and show there is a demand for women’s wakeskating!
Check out Throw It Down and King of Wake for more event coverage…
Remember me? Didn’t think so. Sorry I don’t know how posting has become such a rariety. The days are flying by. I’ve been busy…road tripping to North Carolina, working on my sweet southern accent, swimming with gators in the St.Johns river, celebrating lifes and birthdays as I get older myself, trying to convince 10 girls to enter Wake Games, houseboating, and bringing the Ski Cuda back to life.
Wake Games is a short three weeks away, April 23rd-26th at OWC in Orlando! I’ve got plenty of tickets for the weekend if you want any, or if you know someone that wants tickets. Don’t be shy! We need your support :) and if you know any girls that wakeskate and have the potential to ride in the contest, send them my way! 10 girls wakeskating in it would be record-breaking…wish me luck!
I’d say it’s been a pretty good week between getting my new board and my profile up on the O’Neill team page. Things are finally starting to move along. And the weather! Talk about epic riding conditions…no wind, hot, sunny, glassy lake. Welcome summer. Time to get back in gear and start riding everyday, no more cold weather excuses. Thanks O’Neill! I’m pumped on the new gear, gotta love fresh neoprene!
Yesterday was possibly the greatest day in United Post Office history. At least it was as far as the Conway house goes. After months of finding inspiration and playing around in photoshop…
The Integrity Jenny Danger is here!
As much as I would love to post a photo up for you, Integrity gets the honors. So hold on to your shorts, you’ll see it soon. Grandma is going to be proud. In the meantime I’ve got some serious gripping decisions to make. Suggestions welcome.
