Long story short: Chase got a camera housing for his Mark II. Chase and friends go to the Bahamas. Chase takes pretty pictures. Chase gets home and makes a video out out of it to the jam, “Feel It All Around” by Washed Out. Chase sends it to the dude from Washed Out, dude likes it and *bam, it becomes the unofficial video for the song, and *bam, it’s up on Rolling Stones. Nice work Chase…next time take me with you. Hah, jk (kind of, but not really). Fiction, for the win!
Today has been a strange day so far and it’s only just begun. People text too much, I can’t keep up with them. Sorry that was just a random fact on my mind. I’m no avid ‘You Tuber’ but this is my favorite! This kids have tough competition, Keaton and I are planning a remake with our real eyebrow skills, not the special effects used here. Keep your eyes out folks!

I woke up at 6:30am today, that’s about the 5th time in the last week and a half. The morning started off with some new tricks off the box at OWC thanks to the lipsticks! We’ve got a pretty solid crew going right now. Chase & FCTN let me borrow the HVX, so we are taking full advantage. We’ve been shooting ski, winching, riding 2.0, and hitting up OWC. It’s been pretty epic. I’ve hardly had a chance to go through all this footage, but hopefully I can throw something together in the next few days. Keaton threw together a quick line, just a teaser…
I’ve got a brand spanking new, pressed with love Integrity skate sitting in a box by my front door. Kee just sent me a nice little photo of the box and some scissors and threatened to open it…can’t wait to get home and ride that beast!

I picked up some new kicks somewhere between Beta and Covert yesterday. I originally bought them to wakeskate in, but when I got home I realized the soles are leather…so that might not work out as well as planned. Should I do it anyways? I miss wakeskating in slip-ons, they swim so good.
PS – We’ve been waking up at 6:30am and filming. Some new goodness in 60fps coming soon.

This is one of the few vine animations I made for Status for their ‘True Vine’ series. The real animation is 1024 x 768 and was projected on six tall sheets hanging from the ceiling. I personally recommend the larger version…lol. The vines grew up the sheets as the music played and the people walked in. Musicians were placed in the v’s the sheets created and seats circled around. It was an epic night, I’m glad I could be a part of it. Thanks to Cole, the creative director for putting it all together, and for the lovely cell phone photo.

Radiohead. Enough said. Seriously, just when you think things couldn’t get any cooler they release the House Of Cards video. And then, on top of the video being like nothing you have ever seen before because it was shot with laser beams and scanners instead of cameras, they release a version where you can zoom in, rotate, and switch scenes while Thom is singing. Insane. Insanity. Thanks to FFF for the linkage.
Everywhere I go this song is playing. Literally, everywhere. The grocery store, the cable, then I get in the car and its on the radio, a restaurant, status…it’s crazy. And what is it trying to tell me? “I don’t want to be your friend, I just want to be your lover” ? But we’re not even friends yet…
I was to busy hitting the pool gap the whole entire time to film, but I still managed to sneak in a few shots until I felt like a fish out of water and had to get back to the gap. So I didn’t really get anyone actually landing anything, okay maybe one or two tricks, but thats it. A lot of crazy things went down and you will just have to wait to see it. I believe Fuel TV will have some coverage of the event pretty soon. I don’t know why I feel the urge to throw some Spanish twist on The Projects, but I would rather call it Los Projectos. Sometimes I like to think Spanish is my first language, then I try to say things and realize I really only know 3 completely random and useless sentences. Oh well, maybe one day I will learn some more. Until then, enjoy this short & sweet video I just whipped up for Los Projectos…
I’m busting out an old goody for the day. This was the first roll of super 8mm I ever shot. Unedited. I just threw some music in with it, and ta-da! It’s pretty expensive, so instead of editing it I tried to shoot it as I would have edited it. The film looses alot of color when you transfer it, which is a shame. It is 12x more amazing to watch with on the projector with just the sound of the reels spinning and the vivid colors in a room of friends! The camera died halfway through the roll…I guess thats what you get for $20. Enjoy!
